The Rascals When They Were Young
by vidkkingg on Mar.08, 2010, under P - People
Back when the rascals used to be called The Young Rascals they perform “Good Lovin’” on The Ed Sullivan Show on March 20, 1966. Using just an organ, guitar and drums they got quite a sound. nobody missed the bass. Felix Pappalardi on the organ was leader, song writer and lead singer of the group. He created the arrangements, picked out their silly young rascal outfits and carried the melody on his hammond organ. they later dropped the young and became just the plain ole rascals. they got great airplay on the radio and had several hits. where are they today…most likely old and whithering.

Here is a scene from the 1943 movie entitled stormy weather. No its not black history week but we are presenting a heck of a lot of black people with this video. Dancing was big in 43 and so were the bigbands. the nicholas brothers perform in perfect sync and do some pretty painful looking splits. the mad man cab calloway does his thing, bill bojangles robinson does his thing and lena horn even sings a few verses. all in all its a pretty intense production number and we have no idea why we are presenting this. we found this new series on the net called adventures in music and this was one of the episodes that we liked so here you go
Artist Formerly Known As Unpronounceable Symbol
by vidkkingg on Jan.23, 2010, under P - People
That was so funny when prince changed his name to a symbol that could not be pronounced and so when he was introduced they would call him the artist formerly known as prince. Now anybody else who did something like that would probably never work again because it would infuriate anyone who tried to introduce him or talk about him. but it never hurt the prince man career. we thought we would put up a video of the song 1999 just to show his strange looking band and activate some of your song memory feelings. we all hear songs and flash back to when we origianlly heard them… so where were you and what were you doing when you first listened to 1999? Prince’s birth name is Prince Rogers Nelson. He was born in 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was named after jazz artist Prince Rogers. His father was a member of the Prince Rogers Trio. In the 1970s, when Prince started recording he started using ‘Prince’ as his stage name. He obviously has a phobia about names which is why he changed his name to a symbol that no one could pronounce.

Man Hits All Celine Dion’s Notes
by vidkkingg on Oct.17, 2009, under P - People
Here is an incredible rendition of a celine dion hit song sung by a man. this guy is quite a singer and he has sort of a michel jackson quality about his voice in that he can hit the high notes easily with no strain. apparently this guy is trying to get a music career going and it is obvious he has great talent. his voice is flawless and though this is a difficuly song to sing he pulls it off without a flaw and as a matter of fact he sang this so well that it is apparent that he could have had the hit with this song had it been offered to him instead of celine. the producers of the film that this song appeared in definately would have had to pay a lot less money for the vocal … had he been able to sing it instead of celine dion. this guy should go on americas got talent or idol…he just might win
