We got a lot of emails telling us that of all our music compilations and montages that we have presented …that we overlooked soft rock music. so we now present a collection that really covers most of the great soft rock hits. these tunes are really quite melodic and we know a lot of people think this music is pap but we know that there are many people who really liked this music and it brings back some great memories …especially if you were in love at the time these songs were released.

Here is a great soul music of the 70’s montage to bring back those great soul memories. this is our third compilation from the seventies. the seventies had some great white music, some great black soul music and some great disco music that bled into the 80’s. all in all the seventies was a very diverse musical decade and we can not make presentations from the seventies without including soul music. this video has some great hits on it and so we had to put it up to complete our decade of the seventies music presentations. hope you like it.

Patti Austin and james ingram make some beautiful music together. this song is from back in 1981 and it was produced by quincy jones. it was written by rod temperton and has been rerecorded by several other artist such as Alexander O’Neal and Cherrelle, the Captain and Tennille, Daryl Hall, Laura Fygi, and Stephanie Winslow. However we feel nobody has sung it quite as well as patti and james. the song was not a chart topper when it first came out but it has gained much appreciation over the years to the point where it is now considered an r & b classic. oh yea btw warner bros re-released it two years after it first came out in 81 and in 83 it shot to number one on the billboard charts. how unusual is it for a song to be put out a second time two years later and go to number one? we felt it is time to put up an oldie but goodie so today patti and james get the nod

We have to at least post an oldie but goodie music video at least once or twice a month. So, here you go. This is the original music video of the group toto performing rosanna. a lot of people not only loved the song but they loved the video. we bring out stuff like this on slow news days and any time we feel we have to beef up our music category

This internet video is hard to come by for certain websites. We dont know why some artists stop allowing old videos to be embedded by other sites but this is one of those. So we searched and found a copy cause we love whitney singing this original version with the music video background and a very unique back up band. We found that the live performance versions dont hold up to this. However if you are a whitney fan of this song there is an acapella version out there of this that is quite interesting. When we get around to posting the acapella version, you will find it in our internet category. It is scheduled for post in the latter part of february if it still holds up on our supplier site.
