The Soul Survivors played together in New York with the name The Dedications. They released a few singles under this name in 1962 and 1964. They took the name Soul Survivors in 1965. They were signed to a Philadelphia label called Crimson Records, who put them in together with Gamble & Huff. these two brothers were white. “Expressway to Your Heart” was a #1 hit in Philadelphia and New York in the spring of 1967, and it reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 nationally. “Expressway to Your Heart” was on the charts for 15 weeks and sold over one million copies. these guys were more or less a one hit wonder group and the expressway was what we call a hooky riff. we personally would put it up against any top hip hop tune today as we always like to do with oldie hits just to show the comparison of what we call great music compared to what people today call great music. how can we say it we like music with an arangement and a hook and not someone with a lot of jewelry talking to a beat… oh well to each his own

Even though the movie sleepwalking did not receive very good reviews, annas performance was highly praised. it seems the american public loves really talented young actresses. in the past actresses like brooke shields, jodi foster, tatum oneil, linda blair and dakota fanning have all been well liked and showed great acting skills. anna is no exception. her first job was a mcdonalds commercial and she now has several films to her credit. her screen performance in sleepwalking was mesmerizing and we thought this scene was one of her best.

Kenny and michael have so many super songs individually and have written a few great ones together. these two guys are like the kings of slick musical styles both in writing and performing.
